AUSTIN — A local man was charged with aggravated assault and obstruction of justice after police say he tried to get to a popular tourist spot in Munising, Colorado, to stop a woman from visiting her daughter.
On Monday, police said a woman called police and said her daughter was visiting her friend’s home in the area of Wainwright Boulevard and State Street.
When police arrived, they saw the man trying to walk toward the woman and the two got into an argument.
When the woman went outside to get help, police say the man threw a beer bottle and then pushed the woman to the ground.
The woman ran to a neighbor’s home and called 911.
The man was arrested after he refused to come out of his home and the 911 call was disconnected.
